Terms of use

These terms apply to recoverymath.com, the Recovery Math newsletter, our calculators and our downloadable files (together, “Recovery Math”). Recovery Math is operated by Vista Vendors LLC (“we”, “us”). By using Recovery Math you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

1. Information, not advice

• Not medical advice. Recovery Math covers the cost, specifications, setup and fine print of recovery products. We don’t give medical, health or fitness advice, and nothing here is meant to diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. Saunas, cold-water immersion, heated or cooled sleep systems and light devices aren’t right for everyone. Talk to your doctor before you start, especially if you are pregnant or have a heart, blood-pressure or other medical condition.
• Not electrical or professional advice. Wiring, circuit and installation information is general and comes from the manufacturers’ documents. Electrical work should be done by a licensed electrician, following local code and the manufacturer’s manual.
• How we research. We analyse published specifications, manuals, prices, third-party measurements and owner reports. We don’t hands-on test products unless a page says so. See How we analyse.

2. Calculators and estimates

• Our calculators and cost tables give estimates based on the inputs you enter and the published figures we cite.
• Real costs depend on your electricity tariff, climate, installation, usage and the product itself.
• The calculators are provided “as is”, without any warranty of accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose. Check important numbers with the manufacturer, your utility and your installer before you buy.

3. Prices, availability and deals

• Prices and deals change often and are set by the retailers.
• Each price on our site carries the date we last checked it. The retailer’s price at checkout is the one that applies.
• We aren’t responsible for retailers’ prices, stock, shipping, returns, warranties or customer service.

4. Affiliate links and third-party sites

• Recovery Math contains affiliate links and links to other websites we don’t control. See our Affiliate disclosure.
• Purchases are between you and the retailer, under the retailer’s terms.
• We aren’t responsible for third-party content, products or privacy practices.

5. Your use of Recovery Math

You agree not to:

• scrape, copy or republish our content, tables or calculators at scale;
• interfere with the site’s security or operation;
• use Recovery Math for anything unlawful.

You may share links and short quotes with attribution.

6. Intellectual property

• Text, tables, calculators, graphics, logos, videos and downloads are owned by Vista Vendors LLC or its licensors and are protected by law.
• “Recovery Math” and our logo are our brand names.
• Third-party product names and trademarks belong to their owners. We use them only to identify the products we discuss, and their use doesn’t imply endorsement.
• Downloads (such as the Recovery Setup Planner) are for your personal, non-commercial use.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

Recovery Math is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of liability

• To the fullest extent the law allows, Vista Vendors LLC won’t be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any lost profits or purchase decisions, arising from your use of Recovery Math. This includes reliance on any estimate, calculator output, price or product information.
• Our total liability for any claim is limited to US $100.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Vista Vendors LLC against claims arising from your misuse of Recovery Math or your breach of these terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts located in Wisconsin, unless the law requires otherwise. Recovery Math is operated by Vista Vendors LLC, 7127 S 76th St Ste 5023, Franklin, WI 53132, USA.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. The “Last updated” date shows the latest version. If you keep using Recovery Math after a change, you accept the updated terms.
